irotoito original lead made of the highest quality Italian leather "LISCIO" as a material for small leather goods.

All the leather parts that make up the reed are made of "LISCIO".
Two pieces of leather are laminated together, and twice as much leather is used to create a luxurious structure so that all of the leather is on the surface.

The handle is made with metal fittings so that it can be fastened to a pole or other object when you are out and about.

A lever-type metal fitting is used for the part that connects to the collar.
This type is less likely to come off even if the dog moves unexpectedly.

Each lead is cut not by machine but by the hands of craftsmen.
The slight shaking of the cutting process further enhances the natural feel of the leash.

Please enjoy going out with your dog with a high-quality lead.

Total length: approx. 120cm, width: approx. 15mm (one size)
Recommended for dogs weighing up to about 7 kg.

Italian leather "LISCIO"

Italian leather "LISCIO" is a high-grade leather material.
"LISCIO" means "smooth" in Italian.

As the name suggests, the surface is very smooth and has a surprisingly softness that allows owners who are concerned about the stiffness of leather collars to use it with peace of mind.

The greatest feature of "LISCIO" is the bucketta manufacturing method

The bucketta process refers to the traditional method of slow tanning with vegetable tannins and slow fatting with beef tallow.
Compared to modern methods such as chrome tanning, synthetic oil, and fish oil, the bucket method requires much more labor, cost, and time, but it is also more environmentally friendly and produces beautiful and natural changes over time.

The color of the dye finish is subdued

LISCIO is not pigmented, but rather dyed.
The natural texture and subdued coloring give a sense of quality without the need to apply a new coating to the cut surface.
The gentle dyeing process allows scratches, stains, and wrinkles to appear as they did in the past, which is one of the characteristics of the leather and also a proof of its high quality.

Easy to care for

LISCIO is very easy to care for.
Since the leather is well lubricated with cow fat, there is no need to apply any cream.
Just wipe it gently with a soft cloth to restore its luster and moisture.
The more you use it, the more you will enjoy its colorful change over time.

  • Please check the entire reed before each use and discontinue use if you feel any concerns.
  • The thread stitching may be embedded in the leather and difficult to see, but this is not a quality problem.
